Rajnagar: The locals were shocked as they spotted a huge snake measuring as long as 19-foot in the farm land in Rajnagar area of Kendrapara district in Odisha.According to reports, 19-foot-long python was rescued. The giant python was rescued from an agricultural land. near Rajendra Narayanpur village adjacent to Bhitarkanika National Park.Further it is worth mentioning that, the python has been kept in an enclosure in Bhitarkanika and is undergoing treatment due to a minor injury on its head.It is further reported that the python was released in the Bhitarkanika forest after it recovered. It is the largest python rescued till date, according to the data of the forest department.Recently on December 3, a 15-feet-long python snake was rescued in Angul district of Odisha. The huge reptile was found in the village road of Purunagarh Badadanda sahi.As per reports, the python was crossing the village road in Badadand Sahi when some locals saw it. They got scared and thus attempted to kill it.However, fortunately Snake Help Line member Biswaranjan Behera was returning from Angul on that way and saw the people trying to kill the large snake. He intervened and rescued the python.
