Queued darshan at Srimandir starting from January 1, 2025

Puri: The devotees will stand in queues for darshan to Lord Jagannath in Puri Srimandir from the New Year 2025. Queued darshan at Srimandir is to be done from January 1, 2025, informed Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan.From December 27 and 28, the arrangements for the queued darshan at Srimandir will begin. On a pilot basis, on December 30 and 31, devotees will stand in queues for darshan.The devotees will enter through the Sata Pahacha dwar (door) and exit through the Ghanti and Garada dwar. The women and senior citizens will exit through the Ghanti dwar and men will exit through the Garada dwar.Earlier, the Law Minister had said that the design of the Parikrama Prakalpa will be modified. The old design will be altered and a new design will be prepared soon he said. “As the traditional belief of people of Odisha is deeply imbibed with Srimandir, any change will have a major impact. Discussions for the same are underway,” said Law Minister of Odisha Prithviraj Harichandan.Furthermore, there will be arrangements for the Kruta Yajna, Anna Yajna and Gyan Yajna Mandaps. The work will begin soon within two to three months said the law minister.
