Belagavi, 26/12: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said on Thursday that the centenary celebration of the 1924 Belgaum (now Belagavi) Congress session was not a party event but one for the entire country.
Speaking to reporters in Belagavi, Shivakumar noted that the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting would start at 3 pm on Thursday since Mahatma Gandhi had also taken over as the Congress president at the historic Belagaum session at 3 pm on December.
