Accused driver to be taken for 3-day remand in Sambalpur BJP leaders’ murder case

Sambalpur: In the Sambalpur senior BJP leaders’ alleged murder case, the accused will be taken in remand by the Burla police for three days. The deceased were identified as Debendra Naik and Murali Churia. Debendra is the chairperson of the Chipalipa mandal of BJP.The accused driver identified as Prashanna Jenamani has reportedly kept changing his statements. To get the truth from the accused, police had seeked the permission of the court for a seven-day remand. However, the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) has granted permission for only three days.  On January 7, the accused was court forwarded.Burla police will try to find answers to unsolved questions in the enquiry. Why did the driver conspire to kill the leaders? Who is the real culprit behind the murder of the leaders? The police suspected the driver as he was continuously changing his statement. This high profile murder was presented as an accident on Sunday near A. Kantapali overbridge on Sambalpur-Bargarh National Highway. A Hyva truck rammed into their car and the vehicle overturned to a deep ditch.
