Jharsuguda: Vishal Das, son of the late Odisha Minister Naba Das and a Samiti Sabhya and Sarpanch of Kirmira Block in Jharsuguda district, have been detained at the Saraipali police station in Chhattisgarh. Vishal intimated this in a video message.According to reports, the no-confidence motion against the Chairman of Kirmira Panchayat Samiti in Jharsuguda district, Krishnapriya Sahu, will be voted on tomorrow. Keeping this in mind, the police have allegedly detained the sarpanch and Samiti Sabhya at the Saraipali police station in Chhattisgarh.Vishal has asked the state government and the Uttaranchal IG not to do such undemocratic things.Deepali Das, Vishal’s sister, Ex-MLA and daughter of ex-minister Naba Das, talking to Kalinga TV said that today, there is a no-confidence motion against the block chairman in Kirmira. However, the police have detained 9 committee members and a sarpanch in Saraipali in Chhattisgarh. They had called us. My brother, Vishal Das, went to meet him. He has also been detained.
