Boudh:Manamunda police in Boudh district have made a significant breakthrough in their fight against marijuana smuggling. They seized 1,211 kg of ‘marijuana’, valued at several crores of rupees, from a Mahindra pickup vehicle on Thursday late night.Although the driver managed to escape, the police presented the confiscated contraband in court on Friday at 3 pm.
This isn’t an isolated incident, as Boudh district is known to be a hotspot for marijuana smuggling. The police have conducted several raids in the past, and it’s essential for the administration to take a stricter stance against drug smugglers to ensure public safety and well-being.
The consequences of Cannabis’ smuggling in Boudh district are severe, contributing to crime, black money, unaccounted wealth, and accidents. To combat this, efforts to curb ‘Ganja’ smuggling are crucial. In fact, the police have seized ‘marijuana’ worth crores of rupees in various raids, including 1,560 kilograms in Boudh.
