Dhamra, 11.01.2025: Dhamra Port participated in Annual State Level Flower Show, 2025. The focal display was based on the theme of deifying the location of Dhamra Port in the nurturing laps of Brahmani and Baitarani Rivers, a personified mother nature and on the conservation of Olive Ridley turtles at Gahirmatha and Saltwater crocodiles at Bhitarkanika. A miniature glorifying various miniature plants like succulents, house plants, and a village-based theme was displayed too. The focal display was a major attraction among all visitors while the selfie corner in the form of a Pilot was the cherry on the cake, thus bagging a first prize. While the miniature bagged a second prize, we also bagged 2 more first, 1 second and 2 merit in potted, cut and flower arrangement sections. Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the event and visited Dhamra Port initiative towards conservation of environment. DPCL CEO Shri Devendra Thakar welcomed Hon’ble CM with bouquet to Dhamra Port stall and explained DPCL’s initiative on conservation of nature, Saltwater crocodile and Olive Ridley. Including other dignitaries Hon’ble Minister of Sports & Youth Services, Higher Education, Government of Odisha Shri Suryabanshi Suraj visited the stall and appreciated DPCL’s initiatives. Head-Horticulture of DPCL Ranjan Nayak with his team decorated the stall will full of enthusiasm and thematic base which drawn the attention of visitors a lot.
