SUBARNAPUR 15/1: Day by day, anti-social activities are increasing in Subarnapur district. Sometimes the temple is stolen and sometimes the public market is looted.Then the incident of Tuesday evening has created an atmosphere of fear in the entire district. Lakhs of rupees were looted from Nilambar Mohapatra of Lehedi village, who opened a C.S.C. at Dharmashala chhak. As usual, Nilambar was returning to his home in Lehedi village after closing the C.S.C
at 6:30 in the evening. Three robbers on a red colored racing bike came and suddenly attacked Nilambar in the middle of the road.They tried to forcibly remove the money bag held by Nilambar. When he resisted, the robbers repeatedly attacked Nilambar’s head with the back of a pistol. As Nilambar fell there in critical condition, the robbers grabbed the money bag and fled from the scene. Nilambar was rescued from the scene by some local people in a critical condition and was first taken to the local Chetna Hospital.There, his condition was critical and he was admitted to the Subarnapur District Head Quarter Hospital. He suffered severe head injuries and more than 15 stitches on his head. As it is a C.S.C.of a bank, people deposited 1.5 lakh rupees in the bag, Nilambar said. After receiving the complaint, the Hikudi Beat house police immediately reached the spot and started investigation. According to information, three miscreants have been accused of looting around 1.5 lakh rupees at gunpoint, one mobile and three ATM cards. It has been reported that Subarnapur Superintendent Of Police Ram Prasad Sahu visited the spot today.Report – Ugrasen Karmi.
