Odisha AM/NS India Kho Kho High Performance athletes excel as Indian Men’s and Women’s Teams win the first Kho Kho World Cup

Bhubaneswar, Jan 24 : ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) proudly celebrates the
outstanding performance of three athletes, including two women, from the Odisha AM/NS India
Kho Kho High-Performance Centre (HPC), who excelled in both Men and Women’s teams,
contributing to India’s triumph as the inaugural champions in both categories at the Kho Kho World
Cup 2025.
Two players – Magai Majhi and Subhashree Sing – represented the Indian Women’s Team, while
the third player – Pabani Sabar – represented the Indian Men’s Team. The consistent performance
of the athletes in the tournament reflected their exceptional talent, hard work and dedication. This
achievement is a testament to the world-class training and holistic coaching offered at the HPC.
Additionally, Head Coach Sanjeev Sharma and Assistant Coach Akash Rana of the Odisha AM/NS
India Kho Kho HPC were invited as International Technical Officials for the World Cup. Their
expertise and leadership on the global stage were instrumental in raising the standards of the
sport.
