Barang: A mad bull reportedly chased and attacked an old woman for which later she died while under treatment at the hospital. Following the incident, the locals blocked the road and demanded compensation for the deceased’s family and to bring a permanent solution to the bull menace in the area. The deceased woman has been identified as Hemlata Das. As per reports, the incident took place in Rokot village on the outskirts of the capital in Baranga area. Besides the woman, some youths of the village also sustained injury as the mad bull went on rampage. Later, the villagers approached BMC to bring a permanent solution to the bull menace but according to them nobody paid heed to the issue. Hence, the villagers blocked the road connecting Patia Station and Balijatra ground. It is worth noting that earlier also bull terror had been witnessed in Padmakesharpur in which an old man died. The deceased was Sadashiv Shabar. Seven people were seriously injured in this incident. In this regard, the BMC captured the bull and kept it in a Jatni cowshed.
