Sand-laden Hyva truck hanging from bridge in Sambalpur’s Redhakhol, driver rescued after 5 hours

After tireless efforts for over 5 hours, the driver of the Hyva vehicle was rescued to safety. He has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition for treatment. A sand-laden Hyva truck overturned and is hanging from the bridge near the Kandhara village in Sambalpur early on Monday morning. The driver is trapped inside the hanging vehicle.In a sorrowful state, a sand-laden truck is seen to be hanging from the bridge in Redhakhol in the Boudh-road. The driver lost his balance and the vehicle rammed into the side of the bridge and then overturned. However, the vehicle lay there in a hanging state and then the driver is also trapped inside the hanging Hyva truck.Redhakhol police and the fire brigade reached the spot. The fire brigade is using a gascutter to rescue the trapped driver. He seems to be in a critical state. Further information awaited.
