Prayagraj/Dhamra, February 13: The ongoing Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj has set a remarkable example of dedication and service with the relentless efforts of the Ganga Sevadoots, a dedicated team ensuring the cleanliness of the sacred waters of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers. Dressed in their distinctive uniforms, the Ganga Sevadoots have taken up the mission of keeping the ghats clean and spreading awareness about the importance of river conservation. Around 1,500 Ganga Sevadoots have been deployed at each Ghat, where they tirelessly clean offerings such as flowers, fruits, and other items left in the water by devotees. Their efforts have added a divine aura to the grand event, keeping the river waters pure and the environment pristine.

The Ganga Sevadoots were trained by the Mela administration and have been working diligently since the event’s inception. Their work has ensured that millions of pilgrims have access to clean and sacred river water during this 45-day spiritual gathering.

In addition to the Ganga Sevadoots’ efforts, the partnership between the Adani Group and ISKCON has further enhanced the Mahakumbh experience. Through the distribution of Mahaprasad, lakhs of devotees have been served nourishing meals prepared under the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. The Mahaprasad, served at Sector 19’s kitchen facility, has also been a blessing for the Ganga Sevadoots, who pause their duties to receive the prasad as per their schedule before resuming their duty. With a team of over 1,000 employees ensuring the preparation and distribution of the prasad, the initiative has not only provided physical sustenance but also inspired spiritual connection among the devotees and volunteers alike.

Adding to the success of the event are 10,000 scout and guide volunteers, specially trained by the administration. They have been deployed across various Ghats to manage crowd control and assist devotees, ensuring a smooth and fulfilling experience for all visitors.

The combined efforts of the Ganga Sevadoots, scout-guide volunteers, and the generous support of initiatives like the Adani-ISKCON partnership have turned the Mahakumbh Mela into an exemplary event. The harmonious collaboration reflects the spirit of service and devotion, making this year’s Mahakumbh truly divine and memorable.
