Puri: In a big move, Puri district administration is going to launch a special app for Rath Yatra. The app will be a one-stop solution for all sorts of information related to the chariot festival. To control the crowd and manage the traffic AI cameras will be installed at several places. All the concerned departments have been asked to submit an action plan keeping in view the problems of last year Rath Yatra. Information on all the important events related to Rath Yatra starting from Akshay Tritaya till Niladri Bije will be available on the app. The Niti Kanti, crowd management, traffic regulation, darshan, drinking water facilities, sanitary facilities and all other important facilities were discussed on the meeting under the chairmanship of the district collector Vinit Agrawal. Similarly the public health department and the Puri Municipality have been directed to periodically spray water and drinking water facilities for summer preparedness.
