Jharsuguda 6th hottest city in India, temperature to soar by 2-3 degrees in coming days

Bhubaneswar: The scorching heat is likely to grill the people of Odisha more in the coming days. The regional centre of Indian Meteorological Department in its latest bulletin informed that after 3 days the temperature is likely to surge more. Jharsuguda recording a temperature at 39 degrees Celsius now stands as the hottest city in Odisha by 2.00 pm. This makes it the 6th hottest city in India. In the coming days the temperature is likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. In central parts of Odisha the temperature is likely to rise by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius while coastal Odisha will see 2 to 3 degrees rise in the mercury. Meteorological expert of IMD Sanjib Dwibedi said that there will be no change in the temperature over next 3 days. Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Balangir, Titlagarh, Sambalpur, Parlakhemundi and Boudh recorded over 38 degrees. Besides Bhubaneswar, other coastal places in Odisha recorded 35 degrees Celsius. Dry sky can be expected in the coming five days. The maximum temperature on March 6 and 7 is likely to decrease and will then increase further from March 8. The IMD has predicted that the intense heatwave is likely to prevail from March to May.
