Odisha Vigilance launches DA searches at 9 locations linked to STA Deputy Commissioner

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday launched Disproportionate Assets (DA) searches at 9 locations linked to Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, the Deputy Commissioner of the State Transport Authority (STA), Cuttack. As per reports, today that is on 06.03.2025, on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income by Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, Deputy Commissioner, STA (State Transport Authority), Cuttack, simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance. The searches are being led by 2 Additional SPs, 13 DSPs, 12 Inspectors, 25 ASIs, and other support staff. The searches are being conducted on the strength of the search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar. The searches are underway at 9 places linked to Pradeep Kumar Mohanty in Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, and Cuttack.

Here are the places where the searches are underway:

1) His residential house at Maitri Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.

2) Four BHK Flat at Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar.

3) Farm house at Kusupalla, Ranapur, Nayagarh.

4) Five storeyed under Construction building at Govindaprasad, Bhubaneswar.

5) House of his native Place at Tangi, Khordha.

6) House of his relative at Bhakti Ratna Lane, Jenari Gachha Chowk, Puri town.

7) Petrol Pump in the name of his relative at Malipada, Bhubaneswar.

8) Building under construction in Balikhand, Puri in the name of his relative.

9) His office at Cuttack.

The searches are in progress as of now. Further reports on the searches are awaited.

*FURTHER UPDATES: 4 MULTI STOREYED BUILDINGS, RS.1 CRORE PAID TO PURCHASE ONE 4-BHK FLAT AT BBSR, 11 PLOTS, ONE FARM HOUSE SPREAD OVER 14 ACRES, 3 GOLD BISCUITS (EACH WEIGHING 100 GMS) AND GOLD ORNAMENTS (TOTAL WEIGHT APPROX 700 GMS), CASH RS.15 LAKHS, THREE 4 WHEELERS (BENAMI), ETC UNEARTHED SO FAR DURING SEARCHES ON PROPERTIES LINKED TO SRI PRADEEP KUMAR MOHANTY, DEPUTY COMMISSIONER, STA, CUTTACK*.

During house searches, the following assets connected to Sri Mohanty and his family members have been unearthed so far;

1. Triple storeyed residential building *with area approx. 2400 Sqft.* located at Maitri Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.

2. *Five storeyed under construction building at Govindaprasad, Khordha*.

3.*Payment approx. Rs.1 Crore paid by Sri Mohanty* to the Realtor to purchase *one 4-BHK Flat vide No.T-1-9-C in 9 Bolevard apartment at Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar in name of Sri Mohanty and his spouse*.

4. One triple storeyed under construction building with area about 7500 Sqft. over plot No.1077/7650, Khata No.521/2802 at Balukhand, Puri *(the asset is suspected to be benami which is under verification)*.

5. One building at his native village Tangi, Khordha.

6. *A farm house spread over with area A 14.78 dcml. at Kusupalla, Nayagarh*.

7. *11 nos. of high value plots in Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Ranapur, Nayagarh and one big patch of agricultural land with area A 11.08 dcml*. Details as under;

i. A piece of land vide plot No.29/140/182, Khata No.9/88 with area A 0.054 dcml. at Bharatpur, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar.

ii. A piece of land vide plot No.6(P), Khata No.474/1607 with area A 0.987 dcml. at Patia, Bhubaneswar.

iii. A piece of land vide plot No.902, Khata No.302 with area A 0.43 dcml. at Tangi, Khordha.

iv. A piece of land vide plot No.1236/2887, Khata No.1057/702 with area A 0.017 dcml. at Govindaprasad, Khordha.

v. A piece of land vide plot No.1235/2897, Khata No.1057/702 with area A 0.052 dcml. at Govindaprasad, Khordha.

vi. A piece of land vide plot No.1236/4503, Khata No.1057/2428 with area A 0.055 dcml. at Govindaprasad, Khordha.

vii. A piece of land vide plot No.1235/4504, Khata No.1057/2429 with area A 0.040 dcml. at Govindaprasad, Khordha.

viii. A piece of land vide plot No.1235/3450, Khata No.1057/2230 with area A 0.012 dcml. at Govindaprasad, Khordha.

ix. A piece of land vide plot No.239, Khata No.37 with area A 0.50 dcml. at Kusupal, Ranpur, Nayagarh.

x. A piece of land vide plot No.165, Khata No.33 with area A 0.50 dcml. at Kusupal, Ranpur, Nayagarh.

xi. A piece of land vide plot No.264, Khata No.10 with area A 1.00 dcml. at Kusupal, Ranpur, Nayagarh.

xii. A big patch of land with area A 11.08 dcml. at Kusupal, Ranpur, Nayagarh.

The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/flat/plots/Farm house are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.

8. *Cash Rs.15 Lakhs*.

9. *3 Gold biscuits (100 gms each) and gold ornaments (total weight approx. 700 gms)*.

10. *Three 4 wheelers (Mahindra XUV-700, Maruti Suzuki Brezza & Maruti Suzuki Swift-suspected to be benami and the same are under verification)* & 1 two wheeler (Bullet).

11. Bank, Postal, Insurance deposits and other investments etc. are being ascertained.
