Sambalpur:(Correspondent):- A series of health camps under NLC India Limited’s (NLCIL) Talvira Mining Opening Project (OCP) II and III have been successfully completed, providing basic healthcare services and enhancing the well-being of the people in the project-affected areas.
As a successful outcome of this effort, a massive health camp was organized at Malda Gram Panchayat on 06 March, 2025. The event was inaugurated by Shri Cheruku Dayanand, Executive Director/Project Head, Talavira, and Smita Rinki Singh, Sarpanch, Malda GP. The institution was engaged by Vikash Hospital, Bargarh, and over 480 patients attended the camp. With the presence of expert doctors, several major health problems were addressed and the patients received the required health services.
Prior to the Malda GP camp, a comprehensive medical camp was organized by NLCIL and Sanjeevani Hospital, Jharsuguda on 06 March, 2025 at Patrapali village. Inaugurated by the senior citizens of Patrapali village, more than 300 villagers got their health checked.
The people present at both the camps expressed deep gratitude for getting free medical advice, medicines, and food facilities. The patients were provided with health check-up, diagnosis, and medical advice by doctors specializing in orthopedics, midnight medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, and other specialties. Arrangements were also made for onward referral from the medical camp for those requiring additional treatment.
The organization was coordinated by Shri Raghunath Behera, General Manager/Ground, Shri Subrata Kumar Biswal, Deputy Manager/Human Resources, Dr. Srinivas Swayam Prakash, Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer, Talavira Project, and officials from CSR Department, Land Department, Vikash Hospital, Bargarh, and Sanjeevani Hospital, Jharsuguda.
The villagers congratulated NLCIL for this commitment to health security. These efforts show a new vision of NLCIL’s responsible corporate citizenship and strengthening community relations.
