Gunupur:(Correspondent) :- Students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at GIET University have made a mark at the National Go-Karting Championship held at Aditya Institute of Technology and Management, Tekili, Andhra Pradesh. The university’s team, Prarambh, won the Best Business Model award, showcasing their technical expertise and strategic planning.
The team was honored with a trophy, certificate, and a cash prize of ₹10,000. Led by Captain Akash Patra and Vice-Captain Sovit Panda, Prarambh demonstrated exceptional innovation and problem-solving skills. Kiran Nayak and Itesh Pradhan presented the award-winning business model, contributing significantly to the team’s success.
A key highlight of the competition was the team’s self-designed electric go-kart, powered by a 4.5 kW motor and a 72V, 62Ah battery, reflecting their engineering excellence.
Recognizing his invaluable mentorship, Assistant Professor Santosh Kumar Tripathi received the Dronacharya Award for his guidance and leadership in shaping “Prarambh” into a competitive force in motorsports and engineering.
Extending their congratulations, Dr. Satya Prakash Panda (President), Dr. Chandra Dhwaj Panda (Vice President), Dr. Jagadish Panda (Director General), Dr. A.V.N.L. Sharma (Vice Chancellor), and Dr. N.V. Jagannatha Rao (Registrar), along with faculty members, applauded the team’s outstanding achievement.
