Joda/Barbil:(Correspondent) :- Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) celebrated the birthday of Shri Naveen Jindal, Hon’ble Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra, a three-time Parliamentarian and the Chairman of JSP, as ‘Fitness Day’ across its business locations in Keonjhar and Sundargarh. The occasion was commemorated with a series of events and activities promoting health and wellness.
JSP organized fitness initiatives at its plant and mining locations in Barbil, Kasia and Tensa, encouraging employees and the local community to prioritize well-being. At the Barbil pellet plant, a Mini Marathon – ‘Fitathon’ saw enthusiastic participation from over 500 employees and their families. The Women’s Club at Jindal Nagar held a yoga session for women and children.
In Kasia Iron Mines, a Walkathon witnessed participation from more than 200 employees, local villagers and business associates, followed by a special Puja and Havan at the colony temple. At TRB Mines in Tensa, a morning yoga session was organized for employees and business associates, followed by a Puja and Havan for Shri Naveen Jindal’s well-being and success.
Jindal Foundation, the social arm of JSP, also marked the occasion. The Barbil unit engaged with local sports enthusiasts at the Jindal Sports Hostel. The Kasia unit hosted friendly cricket and football matches, while Tensa organized a hockey match among local village teams.
Dignitaries worldwide extended birthday wishes to Shri Naveen Jindal, including his mother, Smt. Savitri Jindal, former Minister and MLA from Hisar, Haryana. Expressing gratitude, Shri Jindal shared on social media: “Blessings are life’s greatest wealth, and I feel truly rich today. Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took the time to send their wishes and blessings on my birthday. Your kindness and love mean the world to me.”
The celebrations across JSP locations not only honored Shri Naveen Jindal but also reinforced his life motto of the importance of fitness and well-being as core values within the company and the communities it serves.
Shri Naveen Jindal, the 3 times elected Member of Parliament (lok sabha) is also the Founding Chancellor of OP Jindal Global University which is India ‘s no 1 Private University in QS ranking. Mr Naveen Jindal is also the Chairman of Indian Steel Association. Mr Jindal is also the Founding President of Flag Foundation of India and had fought a decade long legal battle to give the liberty of flying the National Flag with dignity to each and every citizen of India.
