Bhubaneswar, March 11, 2025: Demonstrating its commitment to transformative community development by building wider access to quality education and empowering young minds, GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited (GKEL) provided essential school infrastructure and other supports to government school students and Anganwadi children of Kamalanga and Mangalpur Panchayat in Dhenakanal District.
GKEL organized a programme–Sahayog Utsav—where Somesh Kumar Upadhay, Collector & District Magistrate, Dhenkanal attended as chief guest and inaugurated the function at the Community Hall of GMR Township. The Collector distributed educative toys to 360 Anganwadi children, school bag with study kits to 250 school students, study table to 115 students, mobile tablet to five engineering students and scholarship provided to 20 meritorious students on the occasion.
The Collector expressed his happiness on the support provided by employees and associates for government school and college students. GKEL employees celebrate Sahayog Utsav every year with great enthusiasm, where they get an opportunity to back something to the society.

As part of this Ustav, GKEL’s employees, associate agencies, and Raxa Security Services contributed funds to bolster local livelihoods, education and health in the periphery area.
