Rourkela: It has been observed that even MCA, B Tech, M Tech candidates have applied for contractual Home Guard posts in Odisha. The recruitment was going on in Rourkela where it was observed. As per reports, long queues of job seekers were witnessed in Rourkela recently as the recruitment for Home Guard was going on. It was observed that candidates with qualification of diploma, B. Tech, MCA, M. Tech, BBA degrees have also applied for the said post. This was observed from the list of candidates who have applied for 107 Home Guard contractual posts in Rourkela police district. Not only matric or ITI students but also B. Tech, MCA BBA diploma, graduation etc. degree holders have applied for this job. The last date of application was Wednesday. The number of applicants is expected to rise up to eight to ten thousand. Hundreds of unemployed youth from Rourkela city, Rajgangpur, Kuarmunda, Nuagaon, Lathikota, Bonai, Koida, Gurundia, Bishra etc. blocks were seen standing in long queues in front of the reserve office every morning to apply in the last few days.
