PPA Conducts Multi-Agency Coordination Mock Drill in Collaboration with NDRF

Paradeep : A Multi-Agency Coordination Mock Drill was conducted today, 17.03.2025, at 1100 hrs, at the Main Fire Station of Paradip Port, in collaboration with the 3rd Battalion, NDRF, Mundali. This drill holds significant importance in enhancing post-cyclone response capabilities and refining Team PPA’s preparedness for any eventuality.

The exercise covered various emergency scenarios, including building collapse, road blockage, casualty rescue, tank fire fighting, search and rope rescue operations, and emergency victim management. The drill also involved hospital services, mutual aid partners, key stakeholders, local police & IB ensuring a holistic approach to disaster response.

Distinguished attendees and observers included the Harbour Master, Sr. Marine Engineer, Addl. Assistant Director, Dock Safety, along with representatives from IOCL Pipeline, IOCL Refinery, IFFCO, PPL, JSW, IOCL Terminal, BPCL Terminal, HPCL Terminal, KICT, PICT, CREW, and Adani Wilmar. Their respective response units actively participated in the on-site emergency Mock Drill, which was preceded by a tabletop exercise at the Main Fire Station on the same day.

During the tabletop session, NDRF Dy. Commandant Shri Pravin Chauhan briefed stakeholders on the importance of resource mapping in emergency preparedness. CISF Commandant Shri Akshat Patel emphasized the importance of gap analysis and commended the rope rescue and emergency management mechanisms demonstrated during the drill. In the end, Shri B.V. Durga Prasad, Dy Comdt CISF, appreciated the role of mutual aid partners in handling disasters in Paradip.

The event was successfully coordinated by Company Commander, Fire Wing, Shri Amaresh Kumar.
