Special Service Camps Inaugurated in Villages by NSS Units of GIET University

Gunupur:(Correspondent) :- The National Service Scheme (NSS) Units 1 (Male) and 2 (Female) of GIET University inaugurated special service camps in the adopted villages of Regada and Narsinghmunda under Regada Panchayat today.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Regada Sarpanch Jugulu Sabar, who formally launched the camps. Volunteers were encouraged to take proactive steps in addressing rural challenges through various skill-based initiatives.
GIET University’s Vice-Chancellor, Dr. A.V.N.L. Sharma, attended the event as a distinguished guest and emphasized the importance of awareness in environmental conservation, education, health, and agricultural development.
Assistant Professor Bani Prasad Nayak, Program Officer of NSS Unit 1, delivered the welcome address and outlined the seven-day program schedule, highlighting key activities planned for community development. Mr. Pramod Kumar Panda concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
Several faculty members, including Dr. Premansu Shekhar Rath, Nitish Kumar, and Dumesh Meher,  motivated the volunteers with their presence.
Similarly, for NSS Unit 2, Program Officer Ghanistha Prusti delivered the welcome address, while Professor Tapadipa Ghosh extended the vote of thanks. Faculty members Priyanka Patra and Jyotirmaya Bagarti were also present at the event.
Each service camp witnessed active participation from 50 volunteers, who engaged in various community service activities aimed at rural development.
