Hi drama unfolds in Titlagarh as youth climbs tower, rescue operation underway

Titlagarh: In a hi drama incident unfolded in Titlagarh in which a drunk youth climbed atop a mobile tower in the early afternoon hours on Thursday. It has been further reported that the youth tried to kill himself while he was still atop the tower. According to reports, the incident has taken place in Kanshar village under Saintala police station jurisdiction. Kunjbihari Rana of the village attempted to kill himself by climbing a mobile tower in the village at around 11 am today. After receiving the news, the locals informed the police. After receiving the news, Saintala police and fire department reached the spot and are still trying to bring the youth down. The reason for the act is yet to be ascertained. Recently on February 25, high voltage drama unfolded after a youth climbed atop a 132 KV electric tower and denied to get down the tower. The incident happened in Badamuktapasi village under Kamakhyanagar police limits in Dhenkanal district. The youth reportedly stood over the 70-metre tall pole for over 2.5 hours. The youth has been identified as Sania Mandal of Badamuktapasi village. Later on it was found that the youth had consumed alcohol and under the influence of the intoxicant the youth had climbed the 132 KV electric tower. He had climbed over the tower on Monday afternoon. Locals rushed to the spot to bring him down. Tension among the locals was seen after the alcoholic youth denied to climb down from the pole. People rushed to the spot to persuade the youth to get down from the electric pole. The youth sat on the tower for around 2.5 hours.
