New syllabus for Class I to VIII from 2026-27 in Odisha: School & Mass Education Minister

Bhubaneswar: New syllabus will be introduced for Class I to VIII in Odisha from 2026-27 academic session. It was informed by Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond. The minister said that the new syllabus will be introduced for class 1 to Class 8 in the 2026-27 academic year. A committee has been formed to come up with the changed syllabus after the implementation of National Education Policy (NEP). The revamped syllabus will be rooted in our own language, rich cultural heritage, and glorious history. The committee is studying this, and whatever is right for the state will find a place in the syllabus, the minister said.
