Major accident averted in Shimla Airport, flight had Himachal Deputy CM and DGP onboard

Shimla: In a shocking incident, a major accident at Shimla Airport has been averted as the pilot applied the emergency breaks well in time. It is worth mentioning that the flight had the Himachal Deputy CM and DGP onboard. According to reports, the incident happened at Jubbarhatti Airport in Shimla. Airport officer KP Singh said that the accident happened due to a technical fault in the plane. He also said that for the time being the flight from Jubbarhatti to Dharamshala has been cancelled. It is worth mentioning that sources said that, the flight crew had alerted the passengers before applying the emergency brakes. They further said that there was an alleged tyre burst in the plane. Reports further added that, the Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and the Himachal DGP Atul Verma were on board this flight. Airport officials said that the VIPs and other passengers are safe.
