New Delhi: On answering a question in the house, the MoS Home Nityanand Rai said steps will be taken to enhance border security and it shall be given utmost priority. According to reports the answer read as follows, “a comprehensive and multi-pronged approach has been adopted to strengthen border security and address potential challenges.” This includes detailed vulnerability mapping, deployment of additional manpower, and the use of specialized surveillance equipment which have been installed at strategic locations. Apart from the above, measures such as round-the-clock patrolling, anti-tunneling exercises, and installation of border floodlights and security fences ensure robust security mechanisms at international borders: MoS Home Nityanand Rai.
