Bhubaneswar, 02nd April 2025 – The KIIT International Cricket Stadium witnessed a spectacular opening ceremony today as the National University Inter Zone Cricket (Women) Championship 2024-25 kicked off with great enthusiasm and fervor. Under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, and organized by KIIT – Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, the event brought together 16 talented Cricket teams from across the nation, ready to showcase their prowess on the cricket field.
A Ceremony of Inspiration and Unity
The Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor of KIIT-Deemed to be University, graced the occasion alongside other esteemed guests. The event was marked by motivational addresses, including a warm welcome by Prof. (Dr.) Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar of KIIT, and other esteemed guests including Shri Lalatendu Mishra, Director of Sports, KIIT-Deemed to be University. And Shri. Ajit Kumar Mishra, Retired Sr. NIS Cricket Coach, SAI.
Art of Giving (AOG) T-Shirts were distributed to the coaches and managers of all participating teams, symbolizing the spirit of this year’s AOG theme: “NeighbourGood: Bringing Good to the Neighbourhood.” This initiative, guided by the visionary Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT, KISS, and KIMS, aims to foster kindness, togetherness, and community bonding.
