Swatantra Shree Mandir Surakshya Vahini recruitment to begin from today in Odisha

Puri: The recruitment for the Swatantra Shree Mandir Surakshya Vahini (SSMSV) will begin from today. The selection procedure is held in five phases for recruiting 172 officers and 1499 sepoys. As many as 329 police personnel have been deployed for the selection process. The newly constituted SSMSV is aimed to provide security and for the disciplined darshan of the devotees in the Srimandir. The selection committee will consist of a team of one Inspector-General, Deputy Inspector-General, Puri SP and will be led by the Additional Police DG. The team was constituted by the Home Ministry. The selection process will continue from April 2 till April 9. The recruitment will be done for 1671 Swatantra Shree Mandir Surakshya Vahini in several posts. At first, those having experience in the armed police battalion will be deputed for three years. The recruitment will fill the posts for one Commandant from the State Armed Cadre alongside two Deputy Commandants, one Assistant Commandant, eight Inspectors, 31 sub-inspectors and 24 Assistant Sub-inspectors. The vacancies for the recruitment of SSMSV personnel was released on March 5, 2025.
