Horrific! Class 9 students slit hand, torture and lock class 6 student after getting caught for drinking in Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj: An incident of brutal ragging has come to the fore from a school in Basipitha under Khunta police station in Mayurbhanj district. A Class 9 student has allegedly slit a Class 6 boy’s hand with blade and tortured him as he saw the former while drinking alcohol. According to information, the Class 9 students were drinking alcohol inside the hostel. The Class 6 boy saw this and complained to the Prinicipal of the school. The complainant is a resident of Bhugudakata area of Baripada. The Class 9 students got infuriated with this and to take revenge tortured the young boy. They slit the boy’s hand using a blade and then locked him inside a room. The cruel students sprinkled salt on the child’s wound to hurt him. They had also thrashed him. Reportedly, the students also threatened the child using a knife. The victim informed his family members following which the police intervened.
