Central govt sanctions 26 new roads and two bridge projects to Odisha under PM JANMAN Yojana

Bhubaneswar: The Central government approved 26 new roads and two bridge projects in Odisha under the PM Janman Yojana. Under the PM Janman Yojana, 63.271 km roads will be constructed. The Central government thus sanctioned Rs 69.65 crore for the road construction in Odisha. As of now, under the PM Janman Yojana 211.14 km long, 66 road projects and four bridge projects had been sanctioned and recently the Ministry further sanctioned 26 news roads and 2 new bridge projects to be built. The Ministry of Rural Development has allotted Rs 219.40 crore for the project. PM-JANMAN was launched for the socio-economic welfare of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) on November 15, 2023, on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. It stands for The PM Janman yojana is aimed at the socio-economic welfare of PVTGs and under it 26 new roads will be built (PM-JANMAN)
