First child in UK to be born from womb transplant

London: In a first ever, a baby girl has become the first ever in United Kingdom be be born from a transplanted womb to a 36 year old woman, said reports on Tuesday. According to reports, the baby girl has become the first child in the UK to be born to a woman with a transplanted womb. The woman identified as Grace Davidson, 36, was born without a functioning uterus. Later she received a womb from her sister Amy in the year 2023. Two years later Grace gave birth to her first child in February, who she and her husband Angus named Amy.  “It was quite overwhelming because we’d never really let ourselves imagine what it would be like for her to be here,” she told various international media agencies. Both the baby and the mother are doing well.
