Bhubaneswar: With the joint initiation of Hindalco Industries Ltd and
Similipal Tiger Conservation Foundation, Ambulance service for patient
transportation was launched today in the remote habitations of
Similipal forest. The Ambulance service will cater to the tribal
population of three panchayats of Jashipur block, namely, Gudugudia,
Barehipani and Astakuanr.
Hon'ble Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Er
Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia flagged off the Ambulances at a function held
at Barehipani. Senior officials of Similipal Tiger Reserve, RCCF
Baripada,STCF, local district administration and Health department
along with Mr Himanshu Sahoo , AVP Corp Affairs of Aditya Birla Group
were present on the occasion.
As part of its CSR programme Hindalco has donated the two
Ambulances fitted with necessary medical equipments for
transportation of patients to nearest Health centres from the remotely
located villages and hamlets of the three panchayats. The operation
and management of the Ambulance service will be done by Similipal
Tiger Conservation Foundation.
