SRI PABITRA MOHAN PANIGRAHI, ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE ENGINEER (AEE), CHITRAKONDA BLOCK, MALKANGIRI INTERCEPTED BY ODISHA VIGILANCE WHILE CARRYING CASH OVER RS. 5 LAKHS SUSPECTED ILLGOTTEN CASH

Malkanagiri : Based on credible sources regarding collection of huge cash as bribe from Contractors, on 11.04.2025, a short while ago, Sri Pabitra Mohan Panigrahi, AEE, Chitrakonda Block, Dist-Malkangiri was intercepted by a team of Odisha Vigilance near Gobindapally Chowk, Dist- Malkangiri while he was proceeding from his Govt residential quarter at Chitrakonda to Bhubaneswar in a WagonR Car bearing registration OD-30-E-3096 taking lift. During interception, a sum of cash Rs. 5.07 Lakhs was found in his possession.
As Sri Panigrahi could not explain satisfactorily, the amount was recovered from him and seized.
Following the interception, search is being carried out at two locations linked to Sri Panigrahi, AEE from DA angle.
He is being examined to ascertain the source of funds.
