33-year-old man kills mother in Kolkata, lives with body for 1 day later confesses to tea seller

Kolkata: In a shocking incident, a 33-year-old man allegedly killed his mother and lived with her dead body for one day. He later confessed about the act to a tea seller. According to reports, the man was allegedly under treatment for depression and mental issues. He was however later arrested for allegedly killing his mother. The act of killing his mother took place at their own apartment. The murder came to light when he approached a tea seller and confessed before him. He said that he has killed his mother and he further added that he had not eaten all night. He further asked the tea seller if he could give him some food. The man has been identified as Soumik Majumdar. Following an argument and in a fit of rage he stabbed his 58-year-old mother identified as Debjani Majumdar. The tea seller on hearing the news that the man had killed his mother was shocked and immediately informed the guards. The guards broke open the door and found blood on the floor and wall and then the body. They later informed the police and the police reached the spot and arrested the man.
