Bhubaneswar: Five days of rain warning has been issued by the regional centre of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) for different districts of Odisha. The weather department has issued orange warning and yellow warnings for several districts of the state saying rainfall activities to occur till April 18).
Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of April 14):
- ORANGE WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph and hailstorm very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at a few places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore .
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 14 to 8.30 AM of April 15):
- ORANGE WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at a few places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Balasore and Bhadrak.
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Cuttack, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 15 to 8.30 AM of April 16):
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore ,Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.
- YELLOW WARNING: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhargarh, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.
Day 4 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 16 to 8.30 AM of April 17):
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at Malkangiri, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati,Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Boudh.
- YELLOW WARNING: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore and Bhadrak.
Day 5 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 17 to 8.30 AM of April 18):
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.
