IMFA Ltd Observed National Fire Service Week 2025 with Notable Participation and Emphasizes Fire Safety Awareness.

Rayagada: Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd. (IMFA) is proud to announce the successful observance of National Fire Service Week 2025 from April 14 to April 20. This initiative aimed at fostering fire safety awareness and preparedness amongst employees and the local community.

 
Under the expert guidance of Mr. Asish Kumar Roy, Vice President of Manufacturing & EIC, IMFA engaged in various activities to emphasize the importance of fire safety. The event served as a platform to educate and prepare participants for fire emergencies, ensuring a safer environment for everyone.

The week-long program will be conducted in a befitting manner with the enthusiastic participation of departmental heads, support staff, male and female workers, and contractual laborers. The inclusive event reflected IMFA’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of fire safety awareness across all levels of the organization.

Gracing the event, Mr. Ramesh Chandra Behera, District Fire Officer, shared valuable insights on fire safety “Observing National Fire Service Week is not just a celebration, it’s an opportunity to educate and empower our community to prioritize fire safety in their daily lives”. His presence added immense value to the occasion.

During the inaugural session, Mr. Asish Kumar Roy, Vice President – Manufacturing & EIC, addressed the gathering with a powerful message: “No Fire, No Life” and “Excess Fire, Loss of Life”, stressing the critical importance of balance in handling fire-related risks. Mr. M. Srinivas (GM, Mechanical) spoke about the history and objectives of National Fire Service Week and emphasized key fire prevention measures that should be followed at the workplace and beyond.

IMFA focused on practical learning over theoretical discussions to enhance real-world readiness among participants. Captain. P.K. Nanda, the Head of Security and Fire Department, shared the daily activities planned for the week, aimed at raising awareness, improving responsiveness, and fostering proactive safety habits. The National Fire Service Week at IMFA Therubali concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to prioritize safety, remain vigilant, and work towards a safer work environment. The event was well-organized, with Captain. P.K. Nanda heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all participants, while Mr. Deepak Kumar Ojha, Assistant Manager (PR), coordinated the program.
