Missing Bhubaneswar Schoolgirl Found Dead In Reserve Police Colony Tank

A seven-year-old girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the city on Wednesday, hours after she reportedly went missing from her school, prompting her family to allege negligence by the school authorities and demand a thorough investigation.According to reports, the deceased, a Class II student of a government school in the Acharya Vihar area, had left for school in the morning as usual, according to her family. However, they were informed around midday that the child was missing from the school premises.The family launched an extensive search but failed to trace the girl for several hours. They later lodged a written complaint with the Saheed Nagar police, alleging negligence on the part of the school administration in handling the incident.Later in the evening, local residents noticed a child’s body floating in a water tank located inside the nearby Reserve Police Colony and alerted the family. The girl was immediately rescued and rushed to Capital Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.The incident has triggered concern among local residents and the bereaved family, who have sought a fair and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances leading to the child’s death.
