New Delhi, 4/8: The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued a slew of directions to curb the rising menace of “digital arrest” scams, ordering the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to formally adopt a standard operating procedure (SOP) for banks within four weeks and tasking an inter-departmental committee with examining a shared liability and victim compensation framework.
