Balasore: In a major fire incident, a container truck loaded with parcels went up in flames at National Highway-16 under Simulia police limits of Balasore district. No casualty or injury has been reported in the fire incident.As per reports, the container truck was travelling from Kolkata to Sambalpur when it suddenly started emitting thick smoke while moving along the road at around 10.45 pm.Upon noticing the smoke emanating from the parcel container, the driver stopped the vehicle near the Simulia Electricity Office.After receiving information about the incident, the fire brigade rushed to the spot and immediately launched a firefighting operation and tried to control the blaze.By the time the fire was completely extinguished, every parcel inside the container worth lakhs had been reduced to ashes. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.Local police also reached the spot and launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
