Joda: A landslide was reported in Joda in Keonjhar district of Odisha on Monday, disrupting vehicular movement in the area. Continuous heavy rainfall triggered the collapse of a huge chunk of earth.The landslide occurred at Barabanka Ghati on NH-520 under Rugudi police station limits in Keonjhar district.Due to incessant rain last night, a big portion of the hillside caved in onto one side of the highway, blocking traffic.Following the incident, Keonjhar Police has issued an advisory asking people travelling from Bhadrasahi towards Rajamunda to exercise caution and drive carefully.Meanwhile, Badabil town also witnessed heavy rainfall. Water was seen overflowing on major roads in the town. With drains failing to discharge rainwater, artificial flood-like situations have been created in several wards including the Daily Market area.
