The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Men’s Selection Committee announced the 15-member One Day International (ODI) squad for the upcoming home series against the West Indies.Rohit Sharma, despite recent retirement speculation following the England tour, has retained his place alongside Virat Kohli. Shubman Gill will continue as captain, with KL Rahul appointed vice-captain. The series, scheduled to begin on September 27, offers India an opportunity to evaluate players ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup.Rishabh Pant remains absent from the ODI squad, having not featured since November 2024. He has been named captain of the Rest of India team for the Irani Cup but does not appear to be a priority wicketkeeper in India’s white-ball setup.
