Jajpur: As another step towards ensuring the electoral rights of every voter in the democratic process, the final electoral roll for all seven Assembly constituencies of Jajpur district has been published today following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 process.
Jajpur Collector and District Election Officer Ambar Kumar Kar published the final electoral roll at a press conference held in the District Council Conference Hall.
At the beginning of the Special Intensive Revision process, Jajpur district had a total of 15,37,101 registered voters. During the revision, 12,857 new voters were added to the electoral roll, while the names of 1,06,313 voters were deleted. Following the revision, the final number of voters in the district stands at 14,43,645.
Among the seven Assembly constituencies, 48-Binjharpur (SC) has 2,14,529 voters, 49-Bari has 2,13,742, 50-Barchana has 1,76,290, 51-Dharmasala has 2,19,570, 52-Jajpur has 2,30,163, 53-Korei has 1,95,411, and 54-Sukinda has 1,93,940 voters.
According to the final electoral roll, the district has 7,51,393 male voters, 6,92,194 female voters and 58 voters belonging to other categories.
In terms of age groups, the final roll includes 2,90,618 voters aged between 18 and 29 years, 8,80,847 voters aged between 30 and 59 years, 2,72,040 voters aged between 60 and 99 years, and 140 centenarian voters.
On the occasion, Collector and District Election Officer Ambar Kumar Kar directed the concerned Election Registration Officer to take necessary steps to felicitate a 120-year-old voter from the 48-Binjharpur (SC) Assembly constituency.
The programme was attended by the Election Registration Officers (EROs) of all seven Assembly constituencies. They included Lambodar Khuntia, Additional Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Jajpur, for 48-Binjharpur (SC); Pallavi Rani Raj, Additional Sub-Collector, for 49-Bari; Shivananda Swain, Additional District Magistrate (Revenue), for 50-Barchana; Yudhishthir Nayak, Additional District Magistrate (General), for 51-Dharmasala; Tapas Ranjan Dehury, Sub-Collector, for 52-Jajpur; Debiprasad Mahanti, Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, for 53-Korei; and Sapan Kumar Nanda, Additional District Magistrate, Kalinganagar, for 54-Sukinda. Deputy Collector Ashok Kumar Dehury, along with officials from various departments, representatives of recognised political parties and media representatives, were also present.
The district administration has appealed to all voters to verify their names and voter details in the final electoral roll. In case of any discrepancy or if any correction is required, applications may be submitted in accordance with the prescribed rules and procedures of the Election Commission.
The district administration has also urged all eligible citizens to remain aware of their electoral details and verify their names and other information in the voter list.
