SUBARNAPUR —A press conference was held by the District Sports Association at the Gandhi Stadium today for the 65th Sahani Cup Football League 2026/27, which will be held for the first time in Subarnapur on September 23rd. It has been reported that the Odisha Football Association and the Sports and Youth Affairs Department of the Odisha Government will fully cooperate in organizing this Sahani Cup Football. It has been reported that the District Sports Association and the Subarnapur District Administration will fully cooperate in organizing this tournament, which will be played in four zones in the state from next September (Wednesday ), 23rd to October 3rd. It has been reported that 9 football teams from the state will participate in this Subarnapur zone. The Odisha Football Association is officially supervising all the arrangements of this mega or prestigious football league. It has been informed that the management will be monitored. The District Sports Association and the District Administration have been preparing for 12 days for 200 guests, including 180 players and 20 officials. Vigorous preparations have been made for all the arrangements and a special committee has been formed for this, said Vice President Chittaranjan Tarasia. Secretary Piyush Panda has informed that 2 matches will be played in A & B groups every day. In today’s press conference, District Sports Association Vice President Chittaranjan Tarasia, Secretary Piyush Panda, Advisor Kairu Swain, Sribatsa Mallik, Narayan Luha , Govinda Maharana, Purushottam Panigrahi, Bhukulu Baxi , Ganesh Meher, Narasinha Rao, Rajendra Sahu, Aditya Kishore Dani, Gatikrushna Mishra, Digambara Satpathi, Balaram Patnaik, Football Editor Siva Sahu were the prominent participants.
