The Odisha government on Wednesday has effected a major reshuffle at the IAS level, with several officers being assigned new responsibilities across the state administration. The latest transfer and posting order brings significant changes in the leadership of Nabarangpur and Nuapada districts, while also assigning key departmental responsibilities to senior officers. According to the order, Dr Maheswar Swain, IAS (SCS-2014), presently serving as Collector & District Magistrate of Nabarangpur, has been transferred and appointed Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, Shri Madhusudan Dash, IAS (SCS-2014), who was serving as Collector & DM of Nuapada, has been posted as Additional Secretary to Government in the General Administration & Public Grievance (GA & PG) Department. The government has appointed Ms Anya Das, IAS (RR-2019), currently Deputy Secretary in the Health & Family Welfare Department, as the new Collector & DM of Nabarangpur. For Nuapada, Ms Madhumita, IAS (RR-2020), who had joined the GA & PG Department after availing maternity leave, has been appointed Collector & DM. he order also assigns Ms Ashni A L, IAS (RR-2023), as Sub-Collector, Bhawanipatna, while Ms Kasturi Sha, IAS (RR-2024), has been posted as Under Secretary to Government in the GA & PG Department. Further, Shri Pradeep Kumar Nayak, IAS (SCS-2014), has been appointed Additional Secretary to Government in the Fisheries & Animal Resources Development (F&ARD) Department. The reshuffle is expected to bring fresh administrative leadership to the two districts while placing experienced officers in key state-level assignments.
