Dr. Sachi Nandan Mohanty, Senior Professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, VIT-AP University, has been recognised among the Top 2% of Scientists in a global ranking based on data from Elsevier and Stanford University. His profile lists him among the Top 2% Scientists for 2020–2026 in Information and Communication Technologies, with Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing as his sub-field. The database records his global rank as 55,813, sub-field rank as 2,621, H-index as 19, and Hm-index as 9. Dr. Mohanty’s research spans Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Computational Intelligence, Brain–Computer Interfaces, and AI-enabled healthcare. His work has led to numerous scholarly publications and collaborations with researchers and institutions in India and abroad. He has visited around 28 countries for academic and professional engagements, including keynote addresses, invited talks, lectures, international conferences, research meetings, and academic programmes. These engagements have helped strengthen collaborations and encourage global academic exchange. Dr. Mohanty has also helped organise and lead international conferences and held academic and professional leadership roles. His contributions include research, mentoring scholars, editorial work, and participation in international professional organisations. “This recognition reflects the collective efforts of my research scholars, collaborators, colleagues, students, and mentors. I remain committed to impactful research and developing emerging technologies for societal benefit,” he said. He thanked his parents, Sri Rabindra Kumar Mohanty and Smt.
