Ganjam : Today i.e. on 09.10.2026, Mahadev Biswal, Former Secretary, Benapata Service Co-operative Society, Dist-Ganjam (Retired), who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s5 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c)(d) of PC Act,1988/409/467/468/477-A IPC, for misappropriating the Govt. money by manipulating the cash registers of Benapata SCS between the period from 1999 to 2003, was convicted by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Brahmapur and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 1 year and fine. Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Mahadev Biswal, Former Secretary, Benapata Service Co-operative Society, Dist-Ganjam (Retired) following his conviction.
