SUBARNAPUR — When farmers were not getting fertilizer for their farming work, after receiving information from reliable sources that fertilizer was being black marketed in Rundimahul, the Kantamal police reached the spot and seized the truck loaded with fertilizer and arrested two traders and the truck driver involved in the black market. Truck number OR -12 A 2883 with 260 bags of fertilizer was seized. In the presence of Kantamal Tehsildar and AAO, the fertilizer and the truck were seized and handed over to Rundimahul PACS. In this case, a case has been registered at Kantamal police station under No. 271 Date 05/10/2026 U/s-318(4)/303(2)/3(5) BNS/7 Essential commodities Act -1955. Those involved in the black market of fertilizer Ratan Khandagiri (48), son of Sribatsa Khandagiri of Bhaliapadar village under Manamunda police station, Babul Agarwal (55), son of Late Bajranglal Agarwal of Manamunda and Pradeep Barik (44), son of Late Fakir Barik of Rundimahul village under Kantamal police station, were detained and later tried in court.
