Bhubaneswar: In a major announcement, the Odisha government allows all ninth graders in the 2019-20 academic year will be able to take the secondary education examination in May 2021. The state government made the announcement today. It will be applicable to all Odia medium students.
Notably, all educational institutions in the state have been closed since March, due to the Covid-19 cut-off. So the ninth grade annual exam could not be held. The school has since reopened in January 2021 to prepare for the 10th and 12th-grade exams. However, the government has made this decision in view of the mental stress of the children. Special classes will also be held at the school level for children to clear their dues based on their needs.
Similarly, in the 2019-20 academic year, all students in class XI in the state will be able to take the Plus Two examinations in May 2021, administered by the Council for Higher Education.
