New Delhi, 12/2 (Ao Bureau): Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday launched the country’s first CNG Tractor in Delhi. This will reduce pollution and expenses will be less than diesel. This tractor will soon be available in the market. Apart from Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan, General VK Singh, and Purushottam Rupala were present at the launch.
The Ministry of Road Transport has set standards for CNG tractors. According to this standard, tractors will be available in the market. CNG kits will be installed in the tractor, which will reduce the cost of farming. The tractor will start with diesel-like other CNG vehicles, but will later run from CNG. Gadkari said that CNG kits are ready to be made under Make in India. He said that there are plans to convert other tools used in agriculture to BioCNG.
