Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to a dig at opposition over Farmers issues

New Delhi,13/2 (AO Bureau): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has described the Union Budget as having a role to make the country ‘self-reliant’. Sitharaman, responding to the discussion on the budget in the Lok Sabha, said that even the challenging circumstances of the coronavirus epidemic could not deter the government from taking reform measures. She also said that the aim of taking reform measures is to make India one of the largest economies in the world. During this time Prime Minister Modi stayed in the House.
The Finance Minister said that in view of the slowdown in the economy, this budget has been brought after discussion with many experts and this budget has the role of India becoming self-sufficient. The outbreak of the second wave of Coronavirus is still in some other countries, but the way the work was done under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and how the situation has been dealt with here, the result is that the economy is growing at a steady pace.
In the Lok Sabha, Sitharaman targeted the opposition party Congress without naming it. He said that there has not been any cut in Kisan Samman Nidhi. Nothing will happen to farmers by shedding crocodile tears.

Sitharaman said that President Ramnath Kovind also talked about farmers, capital-creating entrepreneurs in his address. How will the economy run without these entrepreneurs? The question being raised again and again is why the allocation in agriculture was reduced in this budget? This thing has been wrongly placed. You are not worried about the farmers? This was not properly understood as 1.15 lakh crore was transferred to the bank accounts of 10.75 crore farmers since the inception of PM Kisan Samman Yojana.
